ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan says the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also sent recommendations to the federal government about amending the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Reform of criminal judicial system was an integral part of the National Action Programme (NAP) but the federal government has so far failed to move on this critical issue.
“I want to congratulate the KP govt for achieving another first for the province: the amendment of the Civil Procedure Code done in consultation with the PHC mandating the courts to decide civil cases within 1 year plus a host of reforms to update existing archaic laws and practices,” he tweeted.
