CM approves economic zone, a new city in Salt Range

LAHORE
CHIEF Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high-level meeting, here Monday, which gave approval to the proposed project of setting up a special economic zone and a new city in Salt Range near Motorway. Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said the proposed project of establishment of special economic zone and a new city would prove to be a milestone in the promotion of industrial, economic and trade activities. He directed that immediate steps be taken for the practical implementation of the proposed project. He said services of prominent international consultant should be acquired and necessary work be initiated immediately. He said the implementation of the proposed project would result in job opportunities to lakhs of people. Chairman Planning and Development gave a detailed briefing on the project.
