‘Lawyers’ role vital for stability’

LAHORE :Punjab Governor Rafiq Rajwana has said lawyers have always played a positive role in stability of democratic institutions and national security. A delegation of 12 lawyers from Multan led by Advocate Muhammad Ali Gillani called on the governor. He said continuation of democracy is the root of the future of Pakistan and development and welfare of people is the water that makes this plant grows. He said the government has special focus on the development of southern-Punjab so that problems of people can be addressed. The governor said it is the responsibility for the lawyers to play their role in strengthening democratic system and public institutions.
