T20 Blind Cricket Cup in full swing

LAHORE: Abbottabad, Peshawar, Islamabad, Bahawalpur, Azad Kashmir and Quetta won their respective matches on day three of the ongoing National Bank of Pakistan T20 Blind Cricket Cup 2017 being held at Multan and Bahawalpur on Saturday.


Abbottabad beat PBCC Young Star by nine wickets at Dring Stadium Bahawalpur. Abbottabad won the toss and put PBCC Young Star into bat first.


PBCC Young Star was bowled out on 158 runs in stipulated 20 overs. Zain was their top scorer with 29 runs while Ehtisham made 17 runs. Naeem Ullah and Tanveer took 2 wickets each. In reply, Abbottabad reached the target of 159 in 13 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Naeem Ullah was the highest scorer who scored unbeaten 64* runs and Riasat Khan made 62 runs. Man of the Match was Naeem Ullah.


Peshawar defeated Multan by nine wickets at Shafqaat Cricket Academy Multan Cantt. Multan won the toss and decided to bat first. Multan made 98 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in allotted quota of overs. Ahsan Razzaq made 30 runs. Muhammad Asif took 2 wickets. In reply, Peshawar chased the target of 99 runs in 8.1 overs by losing their 1 wicket. Sana Ullah Khan was the highest scorer with unbeaten 47* runs while Muhammad Asif made 34 runs. Muhammad Asif was named Man of the Match.


Islamabad beat Lahore by 18 runs at Kanday Wala Cricket Ground, Multan. Islamabad won the toss and elected to bat first. Islamabad set the competitive total of 194 runs on the board by losing their 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Anees Javed was the leading scorer with 97 runs while Ayoub Khan made 42 runs.In reply, Lahore made 176 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Kamran Akhter was the leading scorer with 68 runs. Shahzeb and Nabeel took 2 wickets each. Man of the Match went to Shahzeb.


Bahawalpur routed Faisalabad by 10 wickets at Dring Stadium Bahawalpur. Faisalabad won the toss and opted to bat first. Faisalabad was bowled out on 111 runs in18.3 overs. Bilal Hassan made 30 runs. Zafar, Saqib and Usman shared a wicket each. In reply, Bahawalpur reached home with ease in 7.2 overs without any loss. Rashid and Ayyaz made unbeaten 85* and 18* runs respectively. Rashid was declared the Man of the Match.


AJK beat Gujranwala by 19 runs at Dring Stadium Bahawalpur. Azad Kashmir won the toss and elected to bat first. Azad Kashmir set the massive total of 259 runs on the board without any loss in stipulated 20 overs. Nisar Ali was the star batsman of Azad Kashmir with unbeaten 144* runs while Muhammad Jameel made unbeaten 104* runs. In reply, Gujranwala fought well but eventually fell 20 runs short of the target. Gujranwala made 240 runs by losing their 2 wickets in allotted quota of 20 overs.


Muhammad Akram made 132 runs Israr Hassan made 74 runs. Nisar Ali and Arfan shared a wicket each. Man of the Match was Nisar Ali.


Okara thrashed Quetta by 291 runs at Shafqaat Cricket Academy Multan Cantt. Okara won the toss and opted to bat first. Badar Muneer of Okara made a history today he played stupendously well and scored unbeaten 299* runs with the help of 20 (6s) and 35 (4s).


Okara post a massive total of 456 runs on the board for the loss of 1 wicket in stipulated 20 Overs. Faseeh Ullah made 92 runs.


In reply, Quetta was bowled out on 165 runs in 20 overs. Bismillah Khan was the leading scorer with 65 runs. Badar Muneer and Bashir took 3 wickets each. Badar Muneer was given the Man of the Match.
