Fight of words going on between Pakistan, India on IHK

ISLAMABAD: The fierce fight of words is going on unabated at the United Nations headquarters between Pakistan and India in the wake of last week’s statement of Pakistan made by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi wherein he, besides other issues, raised the Kashmir dispute with India and about oppression in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) where the human rights are flagrantly violated by the occupying troops of Indian army.

According to information emanated from the UN headquarters Pakistan’s permanent representative (PR) Ambassador Dr Maleeha Lodhi has blasted India in last episode of exercising right of reply (RoR) maintained that India couldn’t hide in faking of statements.

Dr Lodhi reminded that India's use of pellet guns in the IHK has received more international publicity. Apologist for India's brazen violation of the UN Charter and human rights can debate pictures. Facts however, are clear and uncontested. Pictures and videos of close to a thousand pellet gun victims testify to Indian brutality.   In addition, scores of articles, both in Indian and international media prove the use of pellet guns by Indian security forces as a tool of suppression to crack down on Kashmiri freedom fighters.

The Guardian has termed blinding of Kashmiris by pellet guns in the IHK one of the biggest blinding activity of human history. Can India deny using pellet guns to blind Kashmiri people? Facts are for all to see; Indian authorities are inflicting unimaginable physical harm and permanent disability on unarmed civilians of the IHK.
