Three mortar shells fired from Afghanistan hit Khyber Agency

LANDIKOTAL: Three mortar shells fired from Afghanistan Thursday landed in Loy Shalman, a border village in Khyber Agency, but no damage was caused.
“Three mortar shells were fired from the Afghan side of the border. The shells fell in Loy Shalman in Landikotal tehsil in Khyber Agency,” said a source. No casualty or damage to property was reported in the incident.
Two mortar shells exploded on impact with the land. The third remained unexploded and was defused by the security forces personnel.
The security forces and Levies personnel reached the site where the mortar shells had landed and collected evidence.
A search operation was also conducted in the area but no arrest was made.
