JI launches plantation campaign
Islamabad: Mian Muhammad Aslam, ex-MNA from Islamabad and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) central naib ameer planted a sapling in Pind Paracha here to kick off monsoon plantation campaign in rural areas of the federal capital.
JI Islamabad naib ameer Muhammad Kashif Chaudhry, chairman UC Jhangi Malik Gulfaraz and vice chairman Malik Meharban were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the JI leader said that Islamabad was one of the beautiful capital of the world but its problems were being neglected by those who are at the helm of affairs of the city and its rural areas. He also highlighted need of the tree plantation saying such exercise add to beauty of Islamabad and maintain its beauty. He also demanded of the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad (MCI) to restore natural springs and streams of Islamabad and rehabilitate the sewerage system in the capital.
