No official confirmation was made about the raids, in which the news portal highlighted that they led to several arrests in two neighborhoods in Makkah and a location in Jeddah.
The raids were part of a nation-wide war against terrorism that hardly hit the country with many deadly blasts in recent years, most of them were adopted by Islamic State militant group, Xinhua reported.
On the other hand Al-Arabiya reported that Saudi security forces shot dead a wanted man in Makkah on Friday and arrested several others.
The gunmen, who are wanted for terrorism, exchanged fire with the security forces who surrounded one of the buildings in the al-Aseelah neighborhood in Makkah where the militants were hiding. No one from the security forces was harmed in the shooting.
Al-Arabiya correspondent confirmed that one militant was killed after the exchange of fire, while the other wanted persons were arrested.
