LAHORE/KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Bahria Dastarkhwan continues its legacy of selfless service to provide free food to hundreds of thousands of people in many cities across Pakistan during the holy month of Ramazan.

Bahria Dastarkhwan is serving delicious Iftar menu mainly comprising dates, refreshing drinks, biryani and fresh fruit to its guests in a respectable environment. The dastarkhwan team is feeling humble and proud to serve the people, says a press release.

Imran Ali, Manager Bahria Dastarkhwan Sindh, said, “We are serving a very healthy menu prepared and served in the most hygienic way to the people. By rotating meat, vegetable, pulses and chickpeas in the main dish of biryani, with daily servings of fresh fruit and drinks, we are maintaining a balanced and healthy food.”

The beneficiaries of Bahria Dastarkhwan are all praise for this project and are praying for its success during and after Ramazan. Fida Ali, a labourer who is enjoying his daily Iftar at Bahria Dastarkhwan Rawalpindi, said, “The environment and food is so good that it feels like home sitting here and enjoying my food. I pray to Allah to make this dastarkhwan even more successful in the days ahead.”

Bahria Dastarkhwan at Mithi, in Tharparkar district in Sindh, is a blessing for the people of this drought-struck area where water shortage, hunger, poverty and death have made life difficult for the people.

Similarly, Rajab Ali, a regular at Lahore dastarkhwan, praised the flavour of chicken biryani and the level of service. He said, “Chicken biryani tastes great. And the way these people serve it to the poor like me makes its taste even greater. They give me so much respect when I come here that I treat them like my own kids. I am grateful to Allah and Bahria Dastarkhwan for this free meal that I otherwise can never afford.”

Bahria Dastarkhwan is continuously expanding its network to serve more and more people. During this year, it has started two outlets in Faizabad (Islamabad) and Qila Diwan Singh, Okara followed by two more in Karachi at Korangi Town and Azizabad.
