CADD minister distributes laptops to high-achievers

Minister of State for the Capital Administration and Development Division Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Thursday said youths were the future of the country and the government was making all-out efforts to enrich them with best possible facilities.
He was addressing a laptop distribution ceremony in Islamabad under the Prime Minister`s Laptop scheme.
Laptops were distributed to high-achieving students of Islamabad's government schools and colleges, including both girls and boys.
"It is the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that all government educational institutions be equipped with latest facilities important for maintaining the standard of education in line with the modern standards."
He said in this connection up gradation of 223 schools of federal capital would become a model for provincial Governments to follow.
The minister said in this connection provision of modern IT labs, well trained teaching staff, infrastructural development and transport facilities are the foremost priorities.
He said youth which makes fifty two percent of the country`s total population are our valuable human resource which should be utilised for progress of the country.
Tariq Fazal said all political parties stand united when the issue is of national interest and development of the country.
He said strengthening of state institutions should be our key priority.
The minister said the political parties should compete over performance and not allegations.
He said media should play a constructive role in promoting performance based and development oriented discussions in their programnes.
