As street criminals continue to roam free in Karachi, four people including a teenager were shot and wounded in muggings on Thursday.

In Korangi’s Bilal Colony, 19-year-old Noman Ali, was held up by robbers near the graveyard in the area. Investigators said Noman tried to reason with the muggers but the suspects opened fire at him for resisting.

The suspects managed to make an easy getaway with Noman’s valuables, leaving him injured on the spot. Area people rushed the teenager to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.  In Arambagh police limits, a man named Abdul Basit was shot and injured for resisting a robbery bid.

The suspects managed to escape after the shooting and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Two more cases were reported in the city. A citizen, Karim Khan, was shot and injured by robbers in the Sachal police’s limits, while another resident identified as Naeem suffered bullet injuries in a mugging gone awry in the Manghopir police’s jurisdiction.
