Officials visit state-run schools in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Officials of political administration and Education Department on Tuesday paid surprise visits to the state-run educational institutions in Landikotal tehsil.

The inspection team headed by Political Agent of Khyber Agency Khalid Mehmood and Agency Education Officer (AEO) Jadoon Khan Wazir visited the Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Government Middle School for boys and Government Degree College in Landikotal tehsil.

The students informed the officials about the lack of teaching staff at the schools and college. They demanded appointment of teachers for mathematics, English, Civics and Physics.

 The inspection team discussed various issues being faced by the students and staff members at the Government Degree College in Landikotal with the college principal. Khalid Mehmood directed political tehsildar to pay visits to different government-run educational institutions on weekly basis to increase enrollment in the state-run schools. He said that genuine demands of students and teachers would be taken up with the Fata Secretariat.
