Derailment of goods train
TOBA TEK SINGH: Two bogies of a Khanewal-bound goods train were derailed near the Shorkot Cantonment Railway Station on Monday. The goods train which was going from Jaranwala derailed due to some technical fault. When a relief train did not reach at the Shorkot Cantonment Railway Station from Khanewal, local railway employees started lifting the derailed bogies with a crane and it took six hours.
During these six hours, different trains, including Millat Express bound for Malakwal from Karachi and Sandal Express coming from Multan for Sargodha remained stopped at the Shorkot Cantonment Railway Station while Shalimar Express and Pakistan Express bound for Karachi from Rawalpindi were also stopped at the Chuttiana Railway Station.
