16-year-old boy shot dead by robbers

A teenage boy died after being shot by robbers in Hashim Goth in Landhi on Tuesday night.

Witnesses told police the incident occurred during a snarl-up on a road. They said that when Zahid Khan, 16, put up resistance, one of the robbers fired shots at him and escaped with his accomplices.

The victim was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where Khan was pronounced dead on arrival. Station House Officer Sarfaraz of Sharafi Goth Police Station said family members of the body took away his body without a postmortem examination.

Murder in Moachko

Allana, 50, died after being attacked with an iron rod near Suparco Road in the Moachko area.

After receiving information, police arrived on the scene and carried the man to the Civil Hospital Karachi.

They detained a man, Dilawar, with an iron rod.

Police said the two men, who were residents of the area where the incident took place, were engaged in an argument over a personal issue.

During the altercation, Dilawar allegedly picked up the iron rod and hit Allana on the head with it. The victim died during treatment.
