ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani on Monday said that death of Fidel Castro was the death of a great leader and a loss to all the ‘oppressed and suppressed people’ around the world.

The chairman Senate expressed these views while recording his impression in the condolence book during his visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba here today to condole the death of the revolutionary leader Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz. He was accompanied by PML-Q’s Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed and ex-senator of ANP Afrasiyab Khattak.

He said that with the death of the great Castro, this brand of leadership no longer exists. It is a loss not only for Cubans but also for the whole world and all the oppressed and suppressed people, Rabbani observed in his condolence message.

Chairman Senate while talking to the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba Gabriel Tiel Capote said that the revolutionary leader was an institution in himself. The chairman Senate and the visiting Senators paid rich tributes for the contribution of revolutionary Castro.
