Fawad stuns Indian opponent in ITF Seniors Tennis

KARACHI: Fawad Ijaz Khan caused a major upset in the opening round 55 plus match of the ITF Seniors Tennis Tournament by defeating top seed India’s Naresh Khatri with a convincing margin of 6-1, 6-3 at the Karachi Gymkhana Club here on Saturday.
Fawad, who is also the chairman of Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA), proved too good for Naresh in the opening set as he recovered from one game down to win six consecutive games. The Indian player gave some resistance in the second set before losing it by 3-6.
