KARACHI: On the eve of World Disabled Day, PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan honoured Pakistan disabled and wheelchair cricket teams in a ceremony hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Shaharyar lauded disabled cricket team for putting up a splendid performance and winning the second ICC Academy Physically Disabled Cup 2016 which was recently held in Dubai. “Disabled cricket team has won laurels for the country by winning the tournament and the whole nation is proud of their impressive performance. Disabled and wheelchair cricket teams have set an example for disabled people,” he said.
“You are the ambassadors of Pakistan and have proved it through excellent teamwork on and off the field,” he added. He gave away a cheque of Rs500,000 to disabled team and Rs200,000 to wheelchair team.
