Hindko Cultural Festival in Kohat on December 4
PESHAWAR: The Gandhara Hindko Board has finalised arrangements for holding the Hindko Cultural Festival on Sunday (December 4) at Baacha Khan Hall in Kohat city.
According to a press release, General Secretary of board Muhammad Ziauddin is the coordinator for the event while Dr Matiullah Shah the convener. The event is expected to promote Hindko language and culture.
The festival would have various segments, including a Hindko mushaira or poetry recital session, folk music, play, stalls of local handicrafts, exhibition depicting cultural life, speech competition for students and literary discussions.
The Gandhara Hindko Board has published 100 books of Hindko language. Besides that is publishing nine different magazines. The board seeks promotion of Hindko and other languages spoken in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
