LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said the threat to close Pakistan through Dharna in Islamabad would be music in the ears of Modi whose agenda is being implemented by some misguided Pakistanis.

Addressing a seminar titled “Peaceful Pakistan-Prosperous Pakistan” organised by Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he said threats to cripple the government at a time when the CPEC is in progress would be a disservice to the country. He said that "Neither Modi nor a Jew, rather a bigger evil wants to shut down Islamabad." He said these very elements sabotaged the visit of Chinese President in 2013 through almost five months sit-in.

He said precious time was lost. He revealed that then Chinese ambassador personally requested the parties to postpone their protest for a few day so that the Chinese president could visit Islamabad to finalise $36 billion deals.
