British drug testing body praises DTL

LAHORE

The member of British Third Party Evaluation Team, who has recently conducted the performance audit of Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL) Lahore, called on Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Shamail Ahmad Khawaja on Wednesday at ACS Conference Room, Civil Secretariat. 

The British delegation of experts belonging to the worldwide famous drug testing body “LGC” was comprised of Philip Stafford and Alan Handely while Director General, Punjab, Forensic Sciences Agency Dr Muhammad Ashraf Tahir accompanied them.

It was disclosed during the meeting that the British LGC team has completed its interim audit report regarding performance of DTL, Lahore and this report will be presented to the Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday (today).

The British experts appreciated the quality of upgrade of DTL and said: “We are very impressed with such an excellent drug testing facility in Lahore because procedures adopted in DTL are validated for international accreditation”.

Additional Chief Secretary Shamail Ahmad Khawaja informed the British experts that the government has decided to recruit entirely new human resource for the upcoming three new state of the art laboratories to be established on 20-kanal area adjacent to Punjab Forensic Science Agency Complex, Thokar Niaz Baig already established on 64-kanal.
