Islamic world asked for joint efforts to curb sectarian violence
ISLAMABAD: Speakers and leadership of Pakistan Ulema Council and Muslim World League, while addressing a conference titled, “Challenges of Islamic World and their Solution” that held here on Tuesday, stressed on need that leadership of Islamic world should make joint efforts to address issues of Ummah and to eradicate challenges

ISLAMABAD: Speakers and leadership of Pakistan Ulema Council and Muslim World League, while addressing a conference titled, “Challenges of Islamic World and their Solution” that held here on Tuesday, stressed on need that leadership of Islamic world should make joint efforts to address issues of Ummah and to eradicate challenges of sectarian violence, extremism and terrorism, a joint mechanism should be worked out.
A joint declaration named, “Islamabad Declaration” also issued relating to identify ‘Issues of Islamic World and their solution’, in which Pakistan Ulema Council and Muslim World League resolved to initiate joint endeavors to educate Muslim youths, Ulema, clerics, imams and religious scholars on conventional vistas of knowledge and against propaganda of extremist and terrorists’ forces.
The speakers also pointed out that ISIS and other such terrorists’ organisations are responsible for increasing challenges of Islamic world and it is need of the time to address issues and challenges of Islamic World with justice.
The conference was chaired by Central Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, while Secretary General Muslim World League Dr Abdullah-bin-Abdul Mohsin Al-Turki attended the conference as chief guest.
While addressing the conference, Dr Al-Turki made it clear that Islamic world has nothing to do with terrorists and extremists’ organisations and ISIS should not be correlated with Islam.
He said that Kahdim Al-Harimain-e-Sharifain Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz and his successor were making very active struggle to resolve issues of Islamic world. Dr. Al-Turki also urged on Ulemas, Scholars and intellectuals of Islamic world to come forward for guidance of Muslim youth.
Secretary General Pakistan Ulema Council Sahbizada Zahid Mehmood Qasmi said that Pakistan Ulema Council has always voiced for rights of non-Muslims as per teachings of Quran and Sunnah. He said that Islamic World should also raise voice over injustices on Muslims in India and also expressed concerns over execution of pro-Pakistan Bangladeshi people.
The conference was attended by Captain ® Safdar, Abdul Taseen, DG World Muslim League Muhammad bin Saeed Al-Dosri, Dr Ahmed Ali Siraj, and ambasdors of Palestine, Egypt, Jordan.
