Turkish group chairman calls on CM

LAHORE 

Chairman of a prominent investment group of Turkey, Ahmat Albayrak called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here Monday, and expressed interest in investment in the development of basic structure of social sector in Punjab.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said Pakistan and Turkey were bound in strong historical and friendly relations and Turkey had stood by Pakistan in every hour of need. He said the commitment shown by Turk people with democracy under the leadership of their great leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan was commendable.

Shahbaz Sharif said a number of Turk companies and investors were making investment in Pakistan especially Punjab and special incentives were being given to foreign investors in the province. He said rapid progress was being made under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif towards the goal of making Pakistan a peaceful, safe and prosperous country. He said that due to effective measures taken by the government economy had strengthened while law and order had improved.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Turk investors should benefit from vast investment opportunities in Punjab. Chairman of Turk investment group Ahmed Albayrak said that all-out cooperation would be extended to Punjab for the improvement of basic structure of social sector. He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had played a positive and active role for the promotion of ties between Pakistan and Turkey. He said that Turk people also acknowledged the extraordinary abilities of Shahbaz Sharif. He said Shahbaz Sharif had completed a number of public welfare projects with speed and standard. 

Adviser on Helath Kh Salman Rafique, Kh Ahmed Hassaan, Secretary Specialised Healthcare & Medical Education and officials concerned were also present in the meeting.
