PHC seeks reply from Health Dept in doctors’ appointment case

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday sought reply from secretary Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a writ petition of 22 doctors claiming to have been ignored in the appointments for the government hospitals in the province.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Syed Afsar Shah and Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan issued notice to secretary Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He was asked to submit a reply as why the doctors were ignored in the appointment process.
Dr Nauman and 21 other doctors had filed the petition through Javed Iqbal Gulbela. During the hearing, the lawyer submitted that the petitioners had done MBBS from various medical colleges in the province.
