Pakistan highlights digital justice at UN Crime Forum
KARACHI: Pakistan on Tuesday highlighted its digital justice reforms at the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ). Federal Secretary of Law and Justice Raja Naeem Akbar showed the Case Assignment and Management System (CAMS), a web-based platform streamlining government litigation across over 50 federal entities.
Developed with UNODC Pakistan and Canadian support, CAMS aims for transparency and efficiency, replacing traditional paper methods. It offers centralised digital tracking, secure document repositories and real-time monitoring. Over 6,000 cases are already digitised and actively managed.
Akbar also noted other digital initiatives like The Pakistan Code and the Document Retrieval System. As a CCPCJ member, Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to international cooperation in promoting justice and rule of law.
