KARACHI: Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator and part of the VEON Group, posted a 20.3 per cent year-on-year revenue increase in Q1 2025, underscoring the company’s ongoing digital diversification and efficient cost management.
The operator invested Rs9.5 billion during the quarter, marking a 78.4 per cent increase from the previous year, to expand 4G infrastructure and enhance its digital services.Direct digital revenue saw a significant surge of 49.5 per cent, contributing 27.7 per cent to total revenue, as Jazz continued its pivot toward platform-based business models.
Tamasha, the largest homegrown streaming platform in Pakistan, grew its user base by 37.6 per cent, reaching 16.5 million monthly active users, driven by exclusive cricket content. Jazz’s lifestyle apps, SIMOSA and FikrFree, also saw rapid growth, with SIMOSA reaching 20.9 million MAUs and FikrFree surpassing one million users. Jazz’s mobile customer base reached 73.4 million, with 4G users growing 16 per cent year-on-year to 53.3 million.
