17 die on road in 24 hours

LAHORE:The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,552 road accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, 17 people died, whereas 1,830 were injured.
Out of these, 781 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 1049 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
Murder suspect held
The Sundar Investigation police have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting his sister-in-law on her wedding day. The tragic incident occurred a day ago, sending shockwaves through the community. The accused, identified as Ikram, allegedly killed Ayesha over a marriage dispute. The accused Ikram was taken into custody.
