Syed Abidi honoured with Sitara-e-Imtiaz
LAHORE:Educationist and renowned career counsellor Syed Abidi was honoured with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan on March 23, 2025, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of education.
With over 30 years of experience, Syed Abidi has played a pivotal role in fostering collaborations between international and Pakistani educational institutions. He has provided free career counseling and guidance to more than 18,000 Pakistani students, enabling many to secure admission in prestigious universities and benefit from various scholarships.
His efforts have not only highlighted the potential of these students but also brought recognition to Pakistan on a global scale. As the pioneer of career counseling in the country, he has trained numerous counselors, significantly advancing the field of career guidance in Pakistan.
Syed Abidi has also contributed his expertise to various educational institutions within the Pakistan Army and represented the country at numerous international conferences. He has worked with esteemed organisations such as the British Council and USAID, earning accolades for his impactful contributions, including the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2007. Additionally, he is associated with Jang and Geo Group, where he frequently writes insightful columns and provides expert commentary.
