Eight die in road accidents in 24 hours
LAHORE : Around eight people died, whereas 1,461 were injured in 1,267 road accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Out of these, 861 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 861 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
Meanwhile, four people died in separate incidents across the city on Wednesday.
According to an Edhi Foundation spokesperson, an eight-year-old boy identified as Haris died when a truck hit him near Baghbanpura’s Bassi Morr.
In a separate incident, a 60-year-old man was found dead near the railway station.
Similarly, body of 30-year-old man was found lying in the limits of the Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate.
While body of a 40-year-old man was found lying near a footpath in Ghalib Market.
