PESHAWAR: The students of BSN sixth semester and Post-RN second semester at the Khyber Medical University (KMU) Institute of Nursing Sciences on Tuesday organized a “Culture and Art Exhibition.”
The event was aimed at promoting understanding of different cultures, foster unity, and highlighting the subcultures of Pakistan, particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Various activities were conducted to showcase diverse cultural traditions, including traditional attire, cultural artefacts, a food festival, and awareness about the customs and practices of the subcultures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
KMU Vice-Chancellor Dr Zia Ul Haq was the chief guest.Director of the Institute of Nursing Sciences Dr Najma Naz, Chief Organizer of Culture, Health, and Society, faculty members and students attended the event.
Dr Zia Ul Haq commended the students for their diverse cultural presentations. He stated that KMU played a significant role in the advancement of nursing education to foster cultural awareness and provide an enriched cultural environment for students.
Dr Najma Naz, highlighted the role of nurses in working within diverse cultural environments. She emphasized that KMU Institute of Nursing Sciences had always been at the forefront of nursing education and leadership.She added that exemplary leadership displayed by nursing students during the cultural exhibition day proved that they would achieve prominent positions in their field.
