‘Dacoit’ killed, two captives recovered by Kashmore police
SSP Kashmore says police and Rangers continued targeted operation gang involved in murder of police constable
SUKKUR: In an ongoing targeted operation, the Kashmore police shot dead an alleged dacoit and injured two others, besides recovering two kidnapped people.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kashmore, Zubair Nazir Shaikh said that on Saturday police and Rangers continued a targeted operation against Kokari Nidvani gang involved in the recent murder of police constable Mazhar Mashori.
According to him, an exchange of fire continued in the katcha area of PP Jamal during which one criminal was killed, while “dacoit” Allahyar and his accomplice sustained injuries.
During the ongoing targeted operation, two captives identified as Muhammed Ali Santani and Zamir Ahmed Mirani were recovered, the SSP said, adding as many as 20 hide-outs of the criminals were destroyed. He said the operation would continue till the elimination of the dacoits.
Separately, four alleged criminals were injured in the firing of Ghotki police.
SSP Ghotki Dr Samiullah Soomro said during the targeted operation in the katcha area four criminals were injured in police firing.
He said 25 police mobiles, six bulletproof vehicles and drone cameras were being used in the ongoing operation, adding the police were determined to recover all captives and to eliminate the criminals.
