The Media Foundation 360 in collaboration with the US Consulate General Karachi organised a three-day training workshop titled ‘Increasing Awareness of the US-Pakistan Partnership Through Reporting Tours’.
The workshop was held at a hotel in Karachi and brought together 25 journalists from print, electronic and digital media. It focused on enhancing journalistic skills, promoting ethical reporting and providing comprehensive insights into Pakistan-US relations. Sessions covered investigative journalism, feature writing and credible reporting techniques.
Journalist and trainer Tahmina Qureshi highlighted the importance of accuracy in journalism in a session titled ‘Ensuring Accuracy: Fact-Checking for Credible Reporting’. She also led a session on the investigative journalism’s role in safeguarding democracies, in which she shared techniques about investigative journalism.
Mubasher Bukhari, journalist and president of the Media Foundation 360, conducted a session on ‘Mastering RTI: Crafting Effective Requests for Public Information’. He also led the concluding session highlighting advancements in technology and modern reporting techniques.
