Implementation of hospitals audit reports reviewed

LAHORE:A meeting of the Pre-Public Accounts Committee was held in the Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education under the chairmanship of Secretary Health Punjab Azmat Mahmood. Special Secretary Development Syed Wajid Ali Shah, audit officers concerned and heads of various government teaching hospitals/institutions attended the meeting. During the meeting, the implementation of audit reports of various teaching hospitals was reviewed.

Minister visits thalassemia patient

On the instructions of former PM and PMLN President Nawaz Sharif, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited Ganga Ram Hospital. Khawaja Salman Rafique visited 19-year-old child Abdul Rehman, who is suffering from thalassemia and is undergoing treatment at Ganga Ram Hospital. On this occasion, Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice Chancellor Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, MS Ganga Ram Hospital Prof Arif, Prof Naveed, Professor of Radiology and others were also present. The minister directed the doctors concerned to provide better treatment and care to the child.
