Criminals arrested in multiple operations
LAHORE:Lahore Police conducted multiple operations against criminal elements, arresting robbers, thieves, drug dealers, and gamblers.
According to details, two members of a gang involved in robberies were arrested in Mughalpura. The suspects were fleeing after snatching a motorcycle and mobile phone at gunpoint when police responded to a call on 15 and apprehended them. Police recovered two motorcycles, five mobile phones, and Rs50,000 cash from their possession. Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police arrested Hasnat, a suspect in the murder of Zahra Azeem in Karim Block. The accused was found to be the victim’s friend, who shot her during an argument. The suspect was traced through CCTV footage and PSCA cameras. A pistol was recovered from him, and he was handed over to the Investigation Wing.
Dolphin Squad arrested three suspects wanted in multiple cases of theft and robbery from Nishtar Colony and Harbanspura. The suspects, Ali (39), Owais (22), and Kabir (24), were leaders of various criminal gangs and involved in several heinous crimes. Similarly, Sanda Police arrested a suspect, Waqas, involved in a mobile snatching case. The accused was caught while fleeing with the stolen mobile phone, which was recovered upon his arrest. Ghaziabad Police conducted an operation against drug dealers, arresting a woman drug dealer, Momina, and recovered over two kilograms of hashish from her possession. In Shad Bagh, 10 suspects were detained for selling banned Gutka. The suspects—Husnain, Ahmed, Faraz, Usman, Wajid, Shaiban, Suraj, Waseem, Shahzaib, and Chand—were arrested with a large quantity of Gutka. They were reportedly preparing and selling the banned product under the guise of running pan shops.
Gulberg Police arrested 10 individuals, including two women, involved in gambling during various operations. One kilogram of hashish and gambling money were recovered from the suspects. The arrested suspects included Tayyab, Arshad, Umair, and Moazzam. Additionally, suspects Talha, Shahbaz, Abdul Rehman, Tahir, Iqra, and Iffat were arrested from a brothel near Liberty Market.
