Woman clubbed to death in Lakki

LAKKI MARWAT: A woman was clubbed to death and her daughter seriously injured in Asmatabad locality here on Wednesday, the police said. 

The accused, Barkatullah, beat his wife Khatim Bibi and daughter Nazeefat Bibi with wooden rods over a domestic dispute. Resultantly, Khatim Bibi died instantly while Nazeefat Bibi was seriously wounded and taken to a local hospital.

The police registered a case against the accused under section 302 (premeditated murder) and 324 (attempted murder) of Pakistan Penal Code and started investigation. Separately, a man was gunned down over a dispute in Paizar Bettanni area in the jurisdiction of Tajori Police Station.

According to a police official, eight armed men shot and injured Kifayatullah and escaped. Kifayatullah was taken to a local hospital where from he was shifted to a hospital in Bannu but he succumbed to injuries.

The police registered a case against the accused, including Ikramullah, Sanaullah, Shafiullah, Syedullah, Qabel, Attaullah, Anwar Kamal and Muhammad Essa and began further investigation.
