CTD arrests two suspected terrorists with explosives in Jhang

JHANG: The Counter-Terrorism Department arrested two suspected terrorists and recovered explosives from them on Tuesday.

The CTD personnel, on a tip-off, raided Jhang-Gojra Road and arrested two suspected terrorists linked with a defunct organisation. They also recovered role of safety fuses, 11 non-electric detonators and explosives from them. The suspected terrorists were planning to use the explosives in some terrorist activity. CTD District Officer Ausaf Safdar Wahla said that further investigation was under way.

Meanwhile, police and sensitive agencies conducted a raid at Kooler village in Qadirpur police limits and arrested three suspects on the charges of facilitating the anti-state elements. Sources said that they had been arrested in connection with recovery of explosives and killing of a 10-year-old boy in hand grenade explosion on May 27.
