LAHORE: The Punjab government has enforced Section 144 across the province for two days.
According to an official notification issued by the Punjab Home Department on Thursday, the measure will be in effect from Friday, October 18, to Saturday, October 19.
During this period, all forms of protests, rallies and related activities will be prohibited. The decision to impose Section 144 has been taken to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of lives and property. In light of security threats, public gatherings could become soft targets for terrorists.
