Canadian travel advisory for Pakistan hinders ties: Fatemi

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi on Monday said the current travel advisory of Canada for Pakistan hindered promotion of bilateral relations.
He expressed these views in meeting with Shafiq Qadri, adviser to the premier of Ontario province, Canada. He appreciated the political economic and cultural contribution of around 400,000 strong and vibrant Pakistani community in Canada, said a press release.
Fatemi felicitated Qadri on his appointment as head of the Liberal-Pakistani Friendship Group formed by the Ontario premier. Qaadri assured him that he would continue to promote bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries.
