PEC election: UEA candidates promise big changes if elected
PESHAWAR: Candidates have promised major changes as campaigning has started for the annual election of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) slated for August 18.
The aspirants made pledges as the United Engineering Alliance (UEA), the nationwide organization of engineers, arranged a big gathering here.Present on the occasion were UEL candidates for the election. They included chairman’s slot aspirant, Engineer Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, Eng Dr Faisal Ali, aspirants for vice-chairman, KP, Eng Dr Muhammad Ashraf, (Civil), Eng Aijaz Afzal (Civil), Engineer Sikandar Hayat Khattak (Mechanical), Sardar Khan (Electronics), Eng Dr Amjad Ali ( Electrical) and Eng Sardar Sajid (Electrical) seats.
The members of the UEA from other provinces turned up on the occasion as well.Engineer Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah said the panel of the EEA would introduce major changes to the PEC after winning the annual election. He said the UEA would expedite efforts for getting approved the service structure and technical allowance for the young engineers besides providing opportunities to them abroad.
