Police post attacked in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A cop was wounded when a police post in Regi area was attacked with automatic weapons in the early hours of Wednesday.

A police official said Constable Ahmad Ali sustained injuries and was taken to hospital when armed terrorists opened fire on the Police Post No 3 in the limits of Regi Police Station. The cops in the police post returned the fire that forced the attackers to escape. The post had come under attack a couple of weeks back as well.An increase in attacks on police in different parts of the province, including Peshawar and southern districts, has been witnessed recently.
