LAHORE:A meeting of standing committee of cabinet on Legislative Business and Privatisation was held in civil secretariat here on Thursday.
Minister for Local Government and Community Development Zeeshan Rafique chaired the meeting. The standing committee approved several proposals/ agendas for sending them to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for final approval.
These proposals include signing of MoU between the government UNOPS, nomination of chairperson, vice-chairperson and other members of board of director of PAA DG Khan, nomination of members of Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency, amendment in Provincial Motor Vehicle or Ordinance, 1965 for enhancement of fine of motorcycle, car and heavy transport 1000, 2000 and 5000 respectively, operationalisation of sub jail Pindi Bhattian, amendments in schedule of ASI, Sub Inspector and Inspector in regard with age, nomination of directors of board of director of Sahiwal Water and Sanitation Service Company, constitution of council of rights of persons with disabilities and appointment of four technical experts as members of infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab.
The standing committee put off the agenda of promulgation of draft adjustment of canal commenced area Rules 2023 and draft of water supply rules 2023 and decided to have a comprehensive briefing of the agenda in next meeting. Committee members, Minister for Communication and Works and Law Sohaib Ahmad, Minister for Information Azma Bokhari, SMBR and secretaries concerned attended the meeting.
