Imran, Nawaz set to visit London again
LONDON: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif are set to visit London again almost a month after both of them were last here.
PTI’s London President Barrister waheed-ur-Rehman confirmed that Imran Khan will be reaching London on Friday for three days to attend “two fundraisers” and to spend time with his sons, Sulaiman and Qasim. Barrister Waheed said that fundraisers have been arranged in London and Manchester in aid of the Namal College. Fundraiser will be held in London and Manchester on Friday and Sunday respectively.
The News has learnt that Imran Khan will also meet the same team of forensic experts who had met him on 11th of April at the office of businessman Zulfi Bukhari. Imran Khan, Jahangira Khan Tareen, Awn Chaudhary, Zulfi Bukhari and Aleem Khan had attended the meeting which had lasted for three hours. Since then it has emerged that Aleem Khan, Zulfi Bukhari and Jahangir Tareen are also owners of offshore companies.
It’s understood that of the three forensic companies, one has been selected and Imran Khan and Zulfi Bukhari will met the audit experts on Saturday and the meeting will take place at Zulfi Bukhari’s office.
Prime Minister Sharif left London for Pakistan on 19th of April after his week-long medical treatment but a PMLN source said that the PM will be back in London again in the third week of April for “another check-up”. The PMLN source said that Nawaz Sharif will stay in London for around three days and will meet British officials as well. Former President Asif Ali Zardari remains in live where he is spending time "privately". Its not clear whether Imran Khan or Nawaz Sharif will be meeting him in regard to the Panama Leaks.
