Robbers snatch police officer’s motorcycle
Armed suspects snatched a motorcycle from a police officer in the Liaquatabad area on Wednesday.
Police said the incident occurred near Liaquatabad B Area where four armed assailants riding motorcycles intercepted Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Iqbal’s motorcycle and snatched it at gunpoint. When the assailants attempted to take the ASI’s pistol, he resisted. During the scuffle, one assailant was apprehended by the ASI while three others managed to snatch the police officer’s motorcycle and flee the scene.
The police officer fired shots at the fleeing assailants, injuring one of them in the back. The injured assailant was immediately transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he has been identified as Imran Bukksh, 30. Police have registered a case and initiated investigations.
