Medical funds approved for 6 cops

LAHORE:The Compensation Award Committee of the Welfare Branch of Punjab police approved medical funds for six cops after due scrutiny on Monday. IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar approved 350,000 for injured Constable M Ali of Sargodha, Rs 250,000 to wounded head constable M Aftab of Sheikhupura.
PHP Lahore Ghazi ASI Amjad Naseer was given Rs 200,000, DG Khan Police's Ghazi constable M Hashim Rs 100,000 Ghazi ASI Ameer Ali of PTS Farooqabad and Ghazi Constable M Yaqoob of Bahawalnagar police were given Rs 100,000 each for treatment.
In a statement, the IGP said early rehabilitation of brave and diligent officials injured in the line of duty is the first priority and the department will continue all possible cooperation in this regard.
