PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has issued directives to ensure the early completion of the remaining portion of the Peshawar Northern Bypass from Takhta Beg to Nasir Bagh.

On the directive of the chief minister, Peshawar Division Commissioner Riaz Khan Mahsud issued orders to the Project Engineer of the National Highway Authority and Deputy Commissioner Peshawar to remove barriers and encroachments, hindering the construction of the remaining section of the Northern Bypass.

The deputy commissioner has also been directed to hand over the transferred land to the National Highway Authority (NHA) and ensure the start of construction on the remaining portion of the Northern Bypass in the tribal district.

Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud has also ordered the deputy commissioner Peshawar to visit the area and submit a report within one day. The completion of the two-kilometer road from Khyber to Nasir Bagh will mark the finishing point of the Northern Bypass project, enabling vehicles from Khyber tribal district to reach Peshawar quickly, bypassing Jamrud Road and University Road.
