Harsh penalties

This letter refers to the news report ‘Air ambulance service to start in June: Maryam Nawaz’ (April 14, 2024). According to the report, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has made a number of important decisions regarding the life and property of citizens. One such decision was to make legislation awarding those found involved in committing molestation of women and children the death penalty.
This is an apt and wise decision and I endorse it wholeheartedly. I would also suggest life imprisonment for those who carry out or facilitate acid attacks on women and girls.
