NOWSHERA: Three incidents of robberies and burglaries were reported from different areas of the district on Tuesday.
The first robbery occurred in the Misri Banda area where armed robbers forced their entry into a filling station and then locked the operator in the washroom before snatching cash, mobile phones and other valuables from him at gunpoint. The robbers fled the scene after looting the filling station.
In another incident, two armed motorcyclists robbed a youth and snatched cash and mobile phone set from Mohajir Bazaar in Akora Khattak.The third incident occurred in Shah Gul Art in Nowshera Kalaan locality where two armed robbers looted two persons in broad-daylight.
The respective police stations have registered cases against unknown robbers and started an investigation.The local residents said that incidents of robberies and dacoities have increased due to unemployment and unprecedented price-hike but the government and law enforcing agencies have become silent spectators to prospect lives and property of people.
