AI being considered main component for success: minister

LAHORE : Provincial Caretaker Minister for Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Prof Dr Javed Akram said that artificial intelligence is being considered as the main component for success all over the world. He said this while addressing the InstaCare Future Health Forum Genesis 2024 at Fatima Jinnah Medical University on Monday.

FJMU VC Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, Pro VC Prof Dr Kamran Khalid, Prof Dr Bilqis Shabbir, Prof Dr Noreen Akmal, Bilal Amjad from InstaCare Technologies, Director PITB Nausheen and reps of various pharmaceutical companies participated in the event.

Expressing his thoughts, Dr Javed Akram said that InstaCare Technologies should first launch its advanced software in one institution. He said that with the help of information technology in Punjab’s government hospitals, more facilities can be created for the patients. There is a dire need for IT solutions in the health sector. The doctors’ community has to import software worth lakhs of rupees to get treatment. He lauded Instacare Technologies team for designing software for the convenience of patients in hospitals.

FJMU VC Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal while commenting said that during the corona epidemic, the first telemedicine department was created in King Edward Medical University in Lahore. A formal department of artificial intelligence is being established in Fatima Jinnah Medical University.

Commenting on the statement of the VC Prof Dr Kamran Khalid, he said that guidelines for surgeons should be included in this software. Prof Dr Bilqis Shabbir said that it is very important to enlighten the children under education with artificial intelligence software. Bilal Amjad said that he stands with the Punjab government for the convenience of patients.
