Man injured, valuables burnt

LAHORE : A man was injured and valuables burnt after PTI office on Jail Road caught fire.

Reportedly, the unidentified suspected burglars had barged into the office to steal valuables.

The suspects were smoking. Suddenly, the office caught fire due to smoking of cigarette.

A person identified as Yousaf Maseeh was recovered from the premises with burn injuries.

He was shifted to hospital.

In another incident reported near Ichhra Underpass, Metro Bus scrap caught fire. A nearby shop was also affected.

Murder suspect arrested

Kot Lakhpat police arrested a suspect for murdering her female friend during party at New Year night and manipulating the crime scene as a fire accident.

Reportedly, the victim Tasleem had a relationship with Imran. They gathered at a premises for New Year night celebrations and abused ICE drugs. Later, they had a dispute and the victim attacked him with a knife. The suspect retaliated and killed the victim with bricks. The suspect to hide his offence, put a blanket on her face and also kept a gas cylinder near her body.

SP Model Town Investigations Shahzad Rafique said that they had arrested the suspect.
