PMLN to begin election campaign from 15th
The announcement was made by PMLN Punjab President Rana Sanaullah Khan in a tweet on Wednesday
LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has announced the commencement of its election campaign from January 15, 2024.
The announcement was made by PMLN Punjab President Rana Sanaullah Khan in a tweet on Wednesday. He said PMLN Quaid Nawaz Sharif will lead the election campaign.
Rana Sanaullah clarified: “There is no disagreement on the distribution of tickets within the PMLN; only consultations are ongoing in a few constituencies.” He said the final list of candidates would be released in a day or two.
Expressing the party’s stance, Rana Sanaullah emphasised the PMLN is not in favour of postponing the election, advocating for a transparent and timely electoral process.
Meanwhile, party sources assert that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif successfully resolved the dispute between PMLN leaders Ayaz Sadiq and Rohail Asghar.
Sources indicate the PMLN leadership, including Nawaz Sharif, heard the stances of both Ayaz Sadiq and Rohail Asghar. When contacted, Rohail Ashgar said that he was unaware of any such meeting. In response to other questions, he consistently mentioned: “I didn’t know.”
