ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office Sunday said relations between India and Pakistan had always been complicated while there were no negotiations going on between the two countries.
In a special conversation with a private TV, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a gesture of goodwill Pakistan not only released the Indian fishermen but also issued visas to the Sikh pilgrims, reports Online.
Meanwhile, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah Sunday said a meaningful dialogue between Pakistan and India was imperative for regional peace, APP reports.
“Peace was impossible unless both countries came to the table,” he said while talking to the media in Shopian, according to Kashmir Media Service.
Expressing regrets over the civilian killings in Poonch, he said, “We cannot fight terrorism by harming our people. We can only fight against terrorism with the support of the people. Such incidents mustn’t be repeated”.
Abdullah said several injured were admitted to different hospitals in critical condition. “They were all poor and were doing menial jobs. How can they work now with their fractured bodies?” he remarked.
